HANCEVILLE –  Hopewell Baptist Church will host the second annual Frances and Doug Reese Memorial Community Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 4:30-8 p.m.

According to the church, “The people of Hopewell Baptist Church will gather together on Wednesday, November 14, to open our doors and serve a free Thanksgiving dinner to all as part of our second annual Frances and Doug Reese Memorial Community Thanksgiving Meal.”

The meal was developed as a part of the church’s year-long 175th Anniversary Celebration in 2017. At the time, the church said, “It is named in memory of two great servants of our church, Frances and Doug Reese. We feel that this meal embodies their spirit of giving back to others. No donations, financial or otherwise, will be taken for the meal.”

A traditional Thanksgiving menu will be served. Guests can dine in or carry out.

Hopewell Baptist Church is located at 600 Hopewell Dr. NE in Hanceville.
