CULLMAN – ElleRae Salon celebrated the grand opening of its new location with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday morning.
Owners Julianna McSwain and Danielle Overton were congratulated by the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce and Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs, with the latter saying, “I’m proud to see how your hard work has led to this expansion. I really love the look of the salon and it’s exciting to see all the activity.”
Overton described the salon: “We are a Christian-based salon. We want everyone to feel welcome and beautiful.”
McSwain added, “We never want our clients to feel judged in any way. We are also very open about our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus loves everyone, and we do too.”
ElleRae, previously at 119 Fourth St. SE, is now located at 601 A Graham St. SW in Cullman.
“This is a much nicer location and a newer building. We were able to gut this space and redo everything. We are very excited about being here,” Overton smiled.
ElleRae Salon offers many services including: eyelash extensions, hydro facials and other skin care products, make-up services and coloring. All stylists are certified color specialists who attend ongoing education classes. The salon also has a professional make-up artist. It specializes in weddings, pageants and proms. Appointments are preferred.
Both Overton and McSwain are working moms and know how hard that can be. Each has three children. Overton has triplets who were enjoying Thursday’s celebration, and McSwain’s children attend West Elementary and Cullman City Primary School. To show appreciation to all moms, the salon often has events and giveaways.
Said McSwain, “We love being part of Cullman. We love this town and the community.”
