Vinemont man arrested for distributing meth

VINEMONT – A Vinemont man was arrested after allegedly selling methamphetamine to undercover officers.

According to a media release from the Cullman Police Department, James Britton Steele, 41, was arrested on Oct. 5 after an undercover operation conducted by CPD Sgt. Chris Thomason and Officers Cole Kelley and Dustin.

During the operation, officers did a controlled buy, during which Steele allegedly sold them methamphetamine. 

Steele was arrested and charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and jailed in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $20,000 property bond. Steele has since made bond.
