VINEMONT – It was Senior Night Thursday evening for the Lady Eagles of Vinemont when they hosted Good Hope for their last match at home this season. There were three seniors honored before the match. The team’s manager Marissa Kent was up first. Marissa is also the baseball team’s manager as well as being the president of both the FCA and NHS at Vinemont High School. Next up was Madison Harbison; after graduating Madison plans to attend nursing school at Wallace State in Hanceville. The last of the seniors honored was Kortnee Chaffin who plans on attending nursing school after graduating as well.

The night belonged to the Lady Raiders once the match began. Good Hope swept the match to claim the victory 25-15, 26-24 and 25-9. Good Hope put together an impressive comeback in the second set after trailing Vinemont by eight points at one point.

Good Hope got solid performances from junior Christian Smith and senior Ally Knight from the server’s position, combining for nine aces on the night, but it was senior Kate Kent who stood out for the Lady Raiders.
