Fairview hitting stride, sweeps Falkville and Decatur Heritage

FAIRVIEW – The Faiview Lady Aggies swept Falkville and Decatur Heritage in straight sets on Thursday.

Fairview 25-10, 25-7 over Falkville

Fairview made quick work of the Lady Blue Devils, dispatching them in just more than 30 minutes.

The sets went quickly thanks to the brilliant play of Abbi Taylor, who had four kills, and McKinna Yearwood who had three. Tess Bailey added two.  

Micah Means led the squad with six assists and Alivia Boyll added four, while Daisy Manasco had eight quality passes to set up her teammates.

Ally Hogeland and Taylor each had two blocks at the net on the defensive side.

Fairview 25-13, 25-22 over Decatur Heritage

Fairview's second match pitted the Lady Aggies against Decatur Heritage, but the result was the same.

The Lady Aggies ran roughshod over the Lady Eagles on the back of strong play from Taylor, who had six kills.

Manasco added four kills and an ace while Yearwood had three kills of her own and a block at the net.

The play was outstanding from the Fairview Lady Aggies and they look to keep the momentum going as they head to Lincoln High School to play at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
