CULLMAN – Arguably Cullman's event of the year, Rock the South lit up the Friday night sky above Heritage park last night. The stage was on fire with talent as well-known acts such as Cody Jinks, Brett Eldridge and Luke Bryan played unforgettable performances. Not only did a big part of north Alabama show up to "party" with Luke Bryan, many drove from other areas to see the star perform live, too.

Chelsie Hall stated ecstatically why she attended RTS, "To have a good time, I come every year!" Hall came from Jasper with her good friends Colton Harris and Hannah Wes.

For most people attending, this was not their first time at Rock the South, but this year Cullman saw a bigger crowd than in the past.

Darlene Mitchell drove up from Birmingham and said, "I love all country music and that's what I'm here for. This is the first time I've ever been to Rock the South! It's been a lot of fun, and I definitely want to come back next year."

The party continues today at Heritage Park. Here's the lineup:

  • On stage now: South of Heaven
  • 2:15 Cort Carpenter
  • 3:15 Ryan Follese
  • 4:15 Riley Green
  • 5:15 Muscadine Bloodline
  • 6:15 Chris Janson

  • 9:15 Dustin Lynch
  • 11 Sam Hunt
