Have large, unwanted items? Cullman citywide spring cleanup May 1-5

CULLMAN – Dates for the annual citywide spring cleanup were announced today by the office of Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs. The event will be next week, May 1-5.

During spring cleanup, city sanitation will pick up large unwanted appliances, furniture, mattresses, etc. for customers at no extra charge.

Residents are asked to place unwanted items curbside on May 1, or as early in the week as possible, to ensure that the items are picked up during the week.

Items city sanitation cannot pick up are:

  • batteries
  • dirt
  • rocks
  • tires
  • concrete
  • hazardous materials
  • shingles
  • other building materials

CULLMAN COUNTY SANITATION CUSTOMERS: During the month of May, all County customers can haul one load of unwanted items to the Cullman County landfill for free.

The landfill's hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m.-noon. It is located at 2805 Alabama Highway 69, Cullman, AL 35057.
