Bearcats take 1st, Lady Bearcats 2nd in Cullman Track Classic

CULLMAN – Cullman utilized greatness in running and field events Friday to take home one championship and claim a runner-up in the other for the 5A-7A division during the Cullman Track Classic at Oliver Woodard Stadium.

The Bearcats won three field events and two running events that set the tone for them to score 158 points and run away from second place competitor Oxford who had 103 points.

Guntersville was third, followed by Hartselle, Austin and Arab with West Point taking seventh place in the event, scoring 39 points.

The Cullman girls got a late surge to move into second place, passing Arab and compiling 93 points through 17 events.

Arab dropped to third with 80 points while Fort Payne ran to the title with 138 points on the day.
