CULLMAN – A traffic stop in Cullman on Thursday led to the arrest of a Falkville man for trafficking.

Cullman Police Department (CPD) Investigators Justin Craft and Chris Thomason made the arrest after observing a white Ford truck driving on the wrong side of the road and failing to stop at a stop sign on Second Street Southeast in the city of Cullman.

During the traffic stop, Craft and Thomason seized drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, suboxone strips, suboxone pills, alprazaloam pills, hydrocodone pills, a clonazepam pill, marijuana and an amount of oxycodone pills large enough to be considered a “trafficking amount,” according to the CPD.

Christopher Taylor, 51, of Falkville was arrested for trafficking in illegal drugs, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

“I’m very proud of Investigators Craft and Thomason for another arrest which resulted in illegal drugs being off the street,” said CPD Capt. Becky Boyd. “Their dedication to work is a true benefit for this community.”

Taylor was booked into the Cullman County Detention Center and his bond was set at $1.01 million.

Craft and Thomason urge anyone with information on illegal drug activity to call 256-775-7179.
