CULLMAN – This holiday season marks the 14th annual Cullman Winter Wonderland light display at Sportsman Lake Park, and there are five nights remaining to enjoy it.

The light displays and subsequent activities will continue until the 23rd at 10 p.m. Weather permitting, the Sportsman Lake Winter Express Train will run, as well as carriage rides. Admission to the park is $5 for cars and $10 for busses. Carriage rides are $5 per person (3 and younger are free), and train rides are $1 per person (age 1 and younger are free).

Santa Claus is available for pictures, and hot cocoa and candy canes are available for purchase.

Many residents of Cullman and the surrounding areas traveled to Sportsman Lake Park on Saturday evening before the Arctic chill set in. Lines were long, the cocoa was hot and the attraction was worth every second. The main event was the drive-through light display showing off some of the most iconic holiday scenes in brilliant, bright displays, while the train ride and carriage ride were icing on top of a well-baked cake.

The attraction is certainly worth your time, as it is ranked No. 10 on the list of “11 Christmas Light Displays in Alabama that are Pure Magic” on www.onlyinyourstate.com.
