Arrest Roundup: David Olvin Brown arrested for theft; Kenneth Dewayne Johnson for distribution

CULLMAN – Cullman City Police Department (CPD) Investigators Chris Thomason and Justin Craft on Friday arrested David Olvin Brown, 30, of Cullman for first-degree theft of property.

Investigators recovered a 2000 Ford F650 and a wood chipper that had been reported stolen.  The property was returned to the owner. 

A towable Vermeer model 602 stump grinder was also reported stolen in the same incident; it was not recovered.

Anyone who has any information regarding the stump grinder is asked to please contact the CPD at 256-775-7179. 

Brown was already in custody at the Cullman County Detention Center on an unrelated charge at the time of Friday’s arrest.  His bond is set at $15,000.


 

VINEMONT – Cullman City Police Department (CPD) Narcotics Investigators Chris Thomason and Justin Craft on Friday arrested Kenneth Dewayne Johnson, 56, of Vinemont for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

Thomason and Craft obtained the arrest warrant for Johnson as a result of an undercover operation in which Johnson allegedly sold methamphetamine. 

Investigators ask anyone who would like to pass along drug-related information to call 256-775-7179.

Johnson’s bond was set at $30,000.
