CULLMAN –There is a new company in town that offers many different tax and bookkeeping services. Boyles Tax and Bookkeeping, located at 2024 Main Ave. SW, Ste. B in Cullman, offers tax preparation and planning for businesses, nonprofits, estates and trusts and individuals. They also offer payroll services.

“We offer full service bookkeeping and payroll services, bank reconciliations and sales tax for businesses,” said owner Christy Boyles. “We can service farms, nonprofits, boutiques, hair salons, trucking companies, restaurants, law offices and much more,” she smiled.

“For businesses that keep inventory, such as retail stores, we offer assistance with their inventory and run profitability reports,” she continued. “This helps stores keep track of popular products and keeps their profit margins in line which, in turn, reduces loss and obsolete products.”

Boyles Tax and Bookkeeping prepares tax returns for individuals, businesses and trusts. They also handle tax disputes and amendments.  Boyles says they don't just fill in the blanks; they offer tax advice and planning for the future. They know that each client is unique so it's not a one size fits all.

“We also have the ability to work on a consultation basis,” she explained. “For instance, if a company is running off of Quick Books and needs our assistance with a journal entry or their report is not running correctly, the company can send us their file so we can find the problem and fix it.  Each company has different needs and we tailor our services to meet those needs.”

Boyles lives here in Cullman.  She is married to Greg Boyles and has two children. She sits on the board of directors of the Autism Society of Alabama and serves as their treasurer.  She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2002.  She later earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Athens State University in 2009.  Because she wanted to further her knowledge of taxation, Boyles then pursued a graduate degree from Troy University where she graduated in 2015 with a master’s degree in taxation.  Prior to opening Boyles Tax and Bookkeeping, she worked for an estate planning attorney for many years and later worked for CPA and bookkeeping offices in town.

Boyles Tax and Bookkeeping is located at 2024 Main Ave SW, Ste. B, Cullman, close to Cook's Pest Control and Moore's Pure. Their office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Friday by appointment only.  They plan to extend their hours during tax time.
