Drug sting leads to trafficking arrests

CULLMAN – Cullman City Police Department narcotics investigators and patrol officers on June 1 took part in a drug sting operation on the southwest side of the city, leading to two trafficking arrests.

Rodney William Marks, 42, of Logan, and Jessica Lane Nichols, 32, of Arley, were both arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. At the time of their arrests, Marks and Nichols had over an ounce of methamphetamine in their possession. 

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Amanda Cornelius, 31, of Vinemont, was arrested on outstanding warrants with an out-of-county agency.   

Marks and Nichols are currently being in held in the Cullman County Detention Center, each on a $1 million bond.
