Mr. Roy L. Briscoe, age 82, of Hanceville, passed away at his home early Saturday morning, surrounded by his family. He was born in Cullman County to Arther and Doshie Thomas Briscoe.
He was self-employed, selling produce and a Church of God Minister. He is predeceased by his parents.
Survivors are seven sons, Jerry Briscoe, Wayne (Alma) Briscoe, Alan (Geneva) Briscoe, Dennis (Linda) Briscoe, Raymond "Mike" Briscoe, Curtis Briscoe, and Kenneth Briscoe; two sisters, Margie Cason and Estelle Pace; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Holly Pond Funeral Home, with visitation to begin 11 a.m. until service begins at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church of Nazarene in Blount County, Pastor Chris Sansing, officiating.
