CULLMAN — On Monday, October 19 at 7 p.m. at the Cullman Civic Center, the Good Samaritan Clinic will hold a concert fundraiser featuring the Triumphant Quartet and the Wallace State Singers.

“Regardless of musical preference, everyone will be encouraged by the performances,” said Jolanda Hudson, who has held the position of Executive Director of the GSC since November of last year.

The GSC is holding the concert to raise funds for operations and community awareness about what the clinic does and the purpose it serves.

“[The Good Samaritan Clinic] was started in 2004,” Hudson said. “It provides medical care to the low-income and uninsured residents of Cullman.”

According to Hudson, the clinic offers a little bit of everything, including primary and dental care as well as nurse practitioner services, and is served by Dr. William Peinhardt of Cullman Internal Medicine.

The price of general admission concert tickets is $12. "Meet and Greet" tickets are $25, must be purchased ahead of time, and are limited to 50.

Tickets are available at Good Samaritan Health Clinic, Borden Family Pharmacy, The Added Touch by Cullman Cabinet, The Added Touch Too, and Yates Chance Christian Bookstore.

Because both the Triumphant Quartet and the Wallace State Singers are donating their time and abilities for the event, the only cost to hold the event for the Clinic is using the Cullman Civic Center.

“We at the Good Samaritan Clinic have a wonderful network throughout the community. We are so happy to be able to use the Civic Center. They’re giving us a discounted rate for the event,” Hudson said.

However, times are financially tough for the Clinic. According to Hudson, donations to the GSC have seen a significant decline in recent months. Along with ticket sales, there will be a love-offering at the concert to help financially bolster the organization.
