CULLMANCullman Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Hospice of Cullman County recently held its annual Mega Cash Draw Down, which serves as a fundraiser benefiting indigent patient care. The event made more than $34,000 for Hospice of Cullman County.

This year’s auction featured lots of changes and excitement. From a new meal, donated by the CRMC Cafeteria Partner, Morrison’s to almost 70 percent of ticket holders opting to purchase $25 insurance for their tickets which gave them second chance at the winnings; the event was destined to be one to remember. The final two ticket holders, Frances Cooper and Riley Yeager decided to split the $10,000 cash prize prior to the final ticket drawing which donated $1,500 back to Hospice of Cullman County. Other winners included: Lou Thomas who won the $500 ticket drawing and Glenda Wright who won the $1,000 ticket drawing.

“The additional cash giveaways for $500 and $1,000 during the event increased the number in attendance through the end of this year’s event,” CRMC Hospice of Cullman County Board Event Chair, Randy Weathersby said. “The usual delicious cakes contributed by local cooks known for their pastry sensations and door prizes donated by local businesses were as always, a tremendous hit.”
