CULLMAN – Golf enthusiasts from all over Cullman came out to TP Country Club to take part in Demo Day. Representatives from three major golf club manufacturers from Ping, Cobra, Callaway and TaylorMade were on hand to display and demonstrate their products. Tables were set up with the latest shoes and apparel from Nike, FootJoy and Callaway, as a DJ blasted music for all to enjoy.

“This is Demo Day, which is where we display all the products that we sell,” explained Rich Santagata, a Cobra/Puma sales representative.

“It’s kind of like a wine tasting event where people taste different wines they are trying to sell; same thing here, they are ‘tasting’ the different golf clubs. We’ve got three of the major manufacturers here today. People are free to come by, test drive our stuff and see which ones they like better. If they like it, they buy it,” he smiled.

“That is basically what we do this time of year, during March, April, May and maybe midway through July. We go to just about every range, kind of like a traveling road show,” he chuckled.

Steven DeBoer, director of instruction at Steven DeBoer Golf Academy, Aleah Scott, women’s golf instructor at Wallace State, and several other golf pros were on hand to offer golfing advice and tips, club and ball fittings, and to teach specialized stretching techniques.

“We are ‘Ask the Pros’,” said Aleah Scott. “If you need any help with your swing, like any technical aspects of it, you can come to us. If you have any golf questions about the rules, you can come and ask us.

Maybe you need a little tweak with your swing, we can help you with that as well,” she smiled.

Demo Day at TP Country Club gave a variety of people an opportunity to take advantage of deals on equipment and to get golfing help. The weather was perfect and the golf course, as always, was amazingly beautiful and peaceful.
