CULLMANThe Link of Cullman County celebrated all that God has done in 2014 through their ministry non-profit by hosting their annual event called, “Flourish” last Thursday at Loft 212. This year’s event included a review of 2014, along with the winners of the 2014 “Dream Big” award, and an overview of how their funds have helped turn several dreams into realities as The Link was able to help an innumerable amount of people across the Cullman area.

The Link of Cullman County is a faith-based, non-profit organization that supports the needs of our neighbors. They provide encouragement, goal-setting, career coaching, financial counseling, adult literacy coaching, English as a Second Language classes, Jobs for Life(TM) classes, GED classes and orientation, and Wise Up Money Skills for Teens.

“I am constantly in awe of how God has used this organization in our community to transform lives through the love of Jesus Christ,” said Lindsey Dossey, Past Board Chair for the Link.

“It amazes me every day that it all started with a dream. It was a dream to help people see life transformation through the love of Jesus Christ and by turning them to God so that He can help them see what their true calling was.”

“We are praising God today for all the blessings we received from our Annual Event, Flourish,” said The Link’s Founder and Executive Director Dawn Owens.

“We saw one of our Adult Literacy students (who could barely read when she came to us) get up and read Scripture with her coach, a VIPS student tell the audience his college plans, and an amazing video of how God has redeemed the lives of so many because you choose to donate, volunteer and pray for The Link. Thank you to all who came out to support us. Thank you to our sponsors: Clay Colvard Allstate Agency, Jim ‘N Nick’s and Loft 212.”

The Link is a wonderful organization that continues to change lives for the good. They continue to grow by leaps and bounds and the blessings they see every day make it all worthwhile.
