Hartselle City Schools reports 242 quarantined due to COVID-19

HARTSELLE, Ala. – Hartselle City Schools on Thursday reported a total of 14 positive COVID-19 cases across the system, with 242 people in quarantine.

The system, which reports its COVID-19 statistics on its website, said:

“Hartselle City Schools employs 427 administrators, teachers, and staff and serves 3,551 students.

“Out of the total HCS population of 3978, 14 (or .3%) have tested positive for COVID-19 after two weeks of school.  In alignment with the directives of the Alabama Department of Public Health, 242 (or 6.0%) of students and/or staff who had close contact with those infected have been placed under quarantine for 14 days.”
