CULLMAN, Ala. – One suspicious email or one weak password can be all it takes to put a business at risk. Local business owners and employees can learn how to guard against those threats at a free Lunch & Learn hosted by the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce and Athens State University.
“Bring Your Lunch & Learn: Cybersecurity for Your Business” is set for Monday, Oct. 26, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Chamber, 301 Second Ave. SW in Cullman.
Practical tips, not tech talk
The hour-long session is billed as a practical conversation about protecting a business’s data, systems, employees and customers from today’s growing cybersecurity threats. Attendees will leave with helpful tips and tools they can put to work in their organizations right away, and they are encouraged to bring their questions.
Whether it’s a small storefront, a family-owned shop or a larger office, every business that stores customer information, takes payments online or uses email is a potential target, making the session a good fit for owners, managers and staff alike.
