CULLMAN, Ala. – Halloween is even sweeter when everyone gets to be part of the fun, and that’s exactly the goal of the upcoming Cullman Therapeutic Recreation Halloween Party.
The party is set for Saturday, Oct. 24, at 5 p.m. at Palomino RV Resort at Burrow-Hamilton Farm, 1315 County Road 222 in Cullman.
“Spooky fun for EVERYONE!” organizers said in announcing the event. “We’re counting down the days until our Cullman Therapeutic Recreation Halloween Party, and you’re invited to join the fun!”
A ‘SPOOK-tacular’ evening
The evening will feature costumes, candy and a costume contest, so participants are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween looks. Officers with the Cullman Police Department will be on-hand grilling hot dogs for the crowd.
One of the highlights will be a special closed trick-or-treating experience just for Therapeutic Recreation members and RV resort guests, giving participants a safe, comfortable and accessible way to enjoy the holiday tradition.
Palomino RV Resort is an ADA-accessible facility, and the event is presented with support from the resort, the Cullman Police Department, Omni Sports Academy and Leldon’s Locally Curated Goods.
Cullman’s Therapeutic Recreation program provides recreational and social opportunities for members of the community with special needs and disabilities.
RSVP by Oct. 19
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by Monday, Oct. 19, by emailing Ashley Morton at amorton@cprst.org.
At a resort that invites guests to find your people, organizers hope the evening shows just that. As they put it, “Everyone belongs here!”
