CULLMAN, Ala. – Looking for a little dog with enough personality to fill an entire home? Meet Eric, The Cullman Tribune’s Pet of the Week.
Eric is a Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix estimated to be about 6 months old.
Weighing just 15 pounds, he may be small, but he brings a moderate-to-high energy level and plenty of entertainment wherever he goes.
Shelter staff describe Eric as a natural “court jester.” His expressive face is filled with curiosity, especially when he is exploring his surroundings or learning something new.
“He’s like a shot of caffeine, and I do love coffee!” a shelter representative said.
Eric’s playful spirit, curiosity and eagerness to learn could also make him a good candidate for training as a therapy or companion dog.
Since he is still a puppy, he will need patience, consistency and opportunities to keep his active mind engaged.
Eric is already neutered, and his adoption fee is $35, an amount shelter staff stressed is not indicative of his worth.
The family who gives Eric his permanent home can expect a lively little companion capable of bringing energy, laughter and plenty of personality into each day.
