As summer nears its end fall festivals, charitable efforts and other events grow closer. There are so many that we have put together this event calendar organized by date so that you, your family and friends will not miss any of the fun!
September
- Sept. 10 – Culinary in Cullman will be held at The Venue at Cotton Creek located on 417 Third Ave. SW, from 6-10 p.m. Participating restaurants will celebrate Cullman Restaurant Week through Sept. 21.
- Sept. 12 – The Link Race to Restock is a scavenger hunt race through downtown Cullman will help provide food and support to the local community. All proceeds will benefit The Pantry at The Link. The start and finish is at the Desperation Student Center at 202 Elizabeth St. NE, Cullman.
- Sept. 12-13 – Bernard Blues & BBQ Art Festival will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Bernard, which is located on 1600 St. Bernard Dr. SE, Cullman. This will feature barbeque, musicians, handmade art, food vendors and more.
- Sept. 17 – The Willow Path will hold its “Passport Series: A Night in the French Quarter” fundraiser at Cotton Creek Venue, 417 Third Ave. SW, Cullman from 6-10 p.m.
- Sept. 19 – Little Lederhosen Day at the Cullman County Museum, 211 Second Ave. NE, Cullman from 10 a.m.-noon. This kid-friendly event aims to encourage the celebration of Cullman’s German heritage with food, crafts and scavenger hunts.
- Sept. 24 – The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Burgermeister Ball at The Abbey Byre at St. Bernard located at 1600 St Bernard Dr., Cullman at 6 p.m. This will include a three course meal from All Steak and guests are encouraged to come dressed in traditional German attire such as lederhosen and dirndls.
- Sept. 27 – The Oktoberfest Wine Dinner will be held at Jubilee Kitchen and Bar at 515 Fourth St. SW, Cullman at 5:30 p.m. This will feature food and carefully selected wines with a touch of German heritage.
October
- Oct. 1 – Oct. 1- 31 The Cullman Area Literacy Council will host its inaugural Scarecrow Trail at Heritage Park. The family-friendly trail is free admission.
- Oct. 6 – The Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation will host its annual Little Pink Dress benefit at Stone Bridge Farms Venue at 281 County Road 717, Cullman from 6-9 p.m.
- Oct. 24 – Render Aid Alabama will host a “Boo” Festival from 4-8 p.m. at Randall Shedd Community Park, 605 Wesley Ave. N, Fairview. This is a free event that will feature a car show, live music, food trucks, hay rides and allow a sensory safe area.
- Oct. 24 – Colony Parks & Recreation and the Colony Volunteer Fire Department will host the Colony Halloween Festival at 6:30 p.m. at the town’s educational complex located on 151 Bryars Road, Hanceville. The event will include a bounce house, vendors, a cake walk and more.
- Oct. 27 – WildWater’s annual Trunk-or-Treat will be held at 1701 Main Ave. SW from 5-7 p.m. The event will also feature music.
- Oct. 29 – Town of West Point Trunk or Treat will be held at 3990 County Road 1141, Vinemont. starting at 6 p.m. This will include candy, games, food trucks and, of course, costumes.
- Oct. 31 – Beginning at 5 p.m. the neighborhood of Woodland Street Northwest will have its annual “Nightmare on Woodland Street.” Multiple families team together to create interactive props, endless candy and a street full of Halloween activities.
- Oct. 31 – Smith Lake Park, located at 403 County Road 386, will host “Camp-O-Ween” from noon-8 p.m. This will include food trucks, trick-or-treating, games, golf cart decoration contests and more.
