Dean Cotton Procter, 93, of Alabaster, formerly of Cullman passed from this life June 20, 2026, at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home.

A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, July 2nd, 2026, at 2 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Wade Maynard officiating.
Dean was born March 30, 1933, to L.P. & Rossie Millis Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Basil Miller, Gordon Miller, Lewis Miller and James Miller, sisters, Pauline Hollis, Maggie Briscoe and Addie Miller.
Survivors include her two sons, Jack (Renee) Cotton, Jason Procter; grandchildren, Bradley (Jennifer) Cotton, Lauren Cotton; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Cotton, Mallory Cotton, Jackson Cotton, family and friends.
She dearly loved her family and found great joy in spending time with those she cherished most. She had a passion for gardening, a deep love for animals, and a special affection for her hometown of Cullman. She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church and lived her life guided by her faith. She dedicated more than 40 years to the banking industry, concluding her distinguished career with Wells Fargo Bank. Her kindness, work ethic and devotion to her family, church and community will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
