Rebecca Long deQuesada, age 70 of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital.
She was born on May 6, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Mary Long. She was a registered nurse for 25 years serving at various hospitals and nursing homes in the area. Her most recent was a Health South Medical in Huntsville. Rebecca enjoyed camping, traveling and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, John Scroggins; son, Carlos deQuesada; brothers, Joe and Charles Long. She was preceded in death by her sons, Armando and Rauel deQuesada; parents, William “Bill” and Mary Long.
The family has no services scheduled at this time.
