Funeral services for Sarah Pitts of Hanceville will be Thursday, May 14th, at 2 p.m. in Hanceville Funeral Home’s Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Garden City Cemetery. Brother Mike Smith will be officiating services. Visitation will be the night prior, May 13th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pitts was born on October 19, 1943, in Hanceville, Alabama. She passed away at the age of 82 on May 9, 2026 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Pitts is survived by her children, Bethany Gill and Timothy Pitts; and sister, Joan McLeroy.
Mrs. Pitts was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Pitts; parents, Joseph and Lois Sims; sister, Mary Lee Silvey; and son-in-law, Frank Gill.
