Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Peggy Sue Freeman was born on September 16, 1949, to James David and Ester Humphrey Curvin. She was welcomed as the youngest of thirteen children. Peggy was a devoted mother, mawmaw, and great-mawmaw, and most recently, great-great- mawmaw. Her three daughters, Myra, Tina, and Vickie, were the pride and joy of her life. Nothing brought Peggy more happiness than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, advice, and the kind of strength that most people lack.

Peggy loved Jesus with everything she had. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and even in difficult times, she never stopped praising Him. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she cared for others, showed kindness, and remained strong in her faith through every season of life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Junior Freeman; daughter Myra Deese; brothers James, Lewis, John, Milton, Willie, Melvin, and Paul Curvin; and sisters, Catherine McCormick, Nellie Curvin, Lousie Wambles, and Rosie Curvin.

Though we grieve her absence, we take joy in knowing she is finally with her heavenly Father. Her journey on Earth may have come to an end, but her memories and legacy live through her survivors; sister Ilean Kimbril; daughters Vickie (Robby) Khan, Tina Slaughter; grandchildren Joshua Willingham, LaKrishia (Jesse) Hailey, Skylar Holloway, Bailey (Sara) Raymond, Taylor (Joe/Rambo) Deese, great-grandchildren Caleb (Abby) Willingham, Jacob Willingham, Keileigh Feria, Olivia Holloway, Mason Holloway, Jimbo Raymond, Waylon Raymond, Truett Raymond, Novalee Hailey, and Blair Hailey. She most recently welcomed her first great-great grandchild, Tatum Willingham.

Peggy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her fierce love for her family, and the strength she carried through every season of life.
