CULLMAN, Ala. – Curt’s Closet hosted its annual Clothed in Cullman event at Cotton Creek Warehouse on Thursday night.

Executive Director and Founder Ashley Wilson said the event was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with compassion, generosity and their hearts.

“From the sponsors and donors to every guest who attended, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support shown to our mission,” Wilson said. “Because of this community, we are able to continue making sure children feel confident, cared for and valued.”

Wilson said the night was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations and so much joy. There were 325 people in attendance. A fundraising total will be available next week.

“Seeing friends, families, businesses and supporters gathered together for such an important cause was truly unforgettable,” she said. “Every sponsorship, donation, auction item, volunteer hour and ticket purchased will directly help provide clothing and essentials to children in need throughout our community.”

Events Clothed in Cullman are about so much more than fundraising — they are about hope, community and showing children they matter, Wilson added.

“Last night was a celebration of love, resilience and the lasting impact one community can make when people choose to care for one another,” she said on Friday. “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us honor Curt’s legacy in such a meaningful way. We are beyond grateful for each and every person who made the evening such a success. Together, we are changing lives — one child, one outfit and one act of kindness at a time.”
