Arley man dies after Cullman County wreck

CULLMAN, Ala. – An Arley man died following a two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. Thursday, April 23. Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as  Arlen L. Langley, 86.

Troopers said Langley was critically injured when the 2010 Chrysler 300 Touring he was driving stuck a 2025 Nissan Sentra driven by Christina R. Campbell, 37, of Cullman.

After the initial impact, they said, the Nissan left the roadway, struck a cable box and a fence. The Chrysler also left the roadway, struck a stop sign, overturned and then struck a guy wire.

Langley was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. On Saturday, April 25, Langley succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased while at the hospital.

The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 278 near County Road 420, approximately 5 miles west of Cullman, in Cullman County. 

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
