CULLMAN, Ala. – Recently, Cullman County Schools students in grades 7-12 had the opportunity to hear from nationally recognized speaker Damon West as he delivered his powerful message, “Be a Coffee Bean.”
West encouraged students to reflect on how they respond to challenges and adversity, sharing how individuals can choose to rise above difficult circumstances and positively impact the environment around them. Through personal stories and meaningful lessons, students were challenged to live with resilience, character and purpose.
“CCBOE is proud to offer opportunities like this for our students, bringing in speakers and experiences that inspire growth, leadership and positive decision-making both inside and outside the classroom,” the district said. “The message of being a ‘coffee bean’ — transforming the world around you rather than being changed by it — will continue to resonate with students long after these two impactful days.”
