CULLMAN, Ala. – A memoir by Cullman native Hunter Moore will debut at a community book launch on Saturday, Feb. 14, at noon at Karma’s Coffee House.

Moore, who has lived with cerebral palsy since birth, worked to complete the book, titled “I Love You Moore,” in memory of his late wife, Haleigh Beth Moore, who passed away in January 2025.

Because he is unable to write independently, Moore submitted portions of the manuscript over time to Taylor Johnson, owner of Salty Light Creative, who assisted in preparing the book for publication.

Johnson, a fellow West Point High School graduate, said the memoir offers a raw and vulnerable look at grief, faith and perseverance. In addition to losing his wife, Moore also lost his caregiver, making his journey through depression and healing especially difficult.

Johnson said she hopes the book will encourage others walking through illness or loss and highlight Moore’s intelligence and determination. “Hunter is one of the smartest people I know,” she said. “He may struggle physically, but his mind is in tip-top shape.”

Johnson said she hopes the launch not only celebrates Moore’s achievement, but also inspires others in the community to share their own stories.

Karma’s Coffee House is located at 103 First Ave. NE #140 in Cullman.
