PREP FOOTBALL: Hanceville drops region game at Oakman 62-13

OAKMAN, Ala. – The Hanceville Bulldogs hit the road for a region matchup at Oakman Friday night, and they had their hands full with the Wildcats. Oakman built a 48-6 lead in the first half and continued pulling away in the second half on its way to a 62-13 win over the Bulldogs.

The Wildcats scored three touchdowns in the first quarter to take a 21-0 lead into the second and led 41-0 at one point before Hanceville was able to find the end zone and trim the lead to 41-6. Oakman went into the locker room leading 48-6 at the break and scored midway through the third quarter to make it 55-6.

Another Hanceville touchdown made it a 55-13 game early in the fourth quarter, but the Wildcats added one more score in the final minute of the game to cap a 62-13 region win over the Bulldogs.

Hanceville (0-5) will be off next week before hosting Vinemont on Oct. 3.
