CORDOVA, Ala. – Addison used big performances from Ava Bartlett and AnnaBeth Powell to sweep Cordova 3-0 Thursday night.
The Lady Bulldogs took the opening set 25-20 before increasing their advantage in each of the next two frames. Addison won the second set 25-18 and closed the match with a 25-12 victory.
Bartlett led Addison’s attack with 23 kills and added three solo blocks. Powell distributed 35 assists and recorded two solo blocks.
The victory improved Addison to 11-4, while Cordova fell to 7-6.
Addison is scheduled to return home Tuesday for matches against Phillips and Lynn. The Lady Bulldogs will meet Phillips at 4:30 p.m. and Lynn at 6:30 p.m.
