Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will occur mainly during the afternoon and evening hours from today through Tuesday, with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms Wednesday into next weekend. today, a few storms may produce wind gusts from 40-60 mph, but widespread severe weather is not expected. In addition, very heavy rainfall will occur in the stronger storms, and brief, isolated flooding may occur. However, as in the past several days, some areas will likely have no rainfall at all.
More widespread activity is forecast both Monday and Tuesday as an upper level low pressure system moves across the state. Once again, typical summertime convection will occur with a few wind gusts from 40-60 mph. The storms will be moving fairly quickly, so no significant flooding is expected.
Total rainfall through Tuesday afternoon will be 0.5-2 inches, with a few spots likely to receive 2-4 inches.
