Funeral Service for Melvin Ray Barbee, age 83 of Cullman, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Roland Belew officiating; burial at New Hope #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Barbee passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Cullman Regional. He was born, December 21, 1942, to Clarence Barbee and Willie Lawrence Barbee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Anthony Murks.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Barbee; sons, Stanley (Jeanette) Murks, Steve (Tina) Barbee, Michael Barbee; daughter, Sandra Kay Barbee; daughter-in-law, Tracey Murks and grandchild, Joshua Murks.
