Gregory Dewayne Williams, age 59, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, with his beloved wife and his two daughters by his side.
Greg was born at Eglin Air Force Base located near Ft. Walton Beach Florida on March 16, 1967. He grew up in Ft. Walton Beach and later moved to Huntsville, Alabama in his early twenties. He met Lisa at Gibson’s BBQ in Huntsville at the end of May 1990 and they were married a month and a half later. They spent the next 35 years building memories of a lifetime together.
Greg was a man with a generous heart and an abundance of love for those closest to him. He put his family’s happiness before his own. He loved the outdoors, nature was his happy place. He could lose himself in the woods because he loved it so much. His love for animals reflected his compassionate heart and he never met an animal that didn’t absolutely love him.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lisa Williams; daughters, Ashley (Triston) Sanders and Savanna (Quez) Williams; granddaughter, Luci; a grandson on the way; father, Jeff (Wei) Williams; mother, Linda Foots.
Greg was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Farmer.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him. May he always be remember as a wonderful man who cherished the priceless gift of his family, his love of nature and the loyalty of his animals.
We love you and you will be forever loved and missed, until we see you again.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Decatur Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with the family receiving friends after the service.
