DODGE CITY, Ala. – The Dodge City Town Council met Thursday, June 11, to review town finances and discuss several community projects and maintenance needs.

Council members approved minutes from the previous meeting and reviewed monthly financial reports. Officials reported the town’s general account ended the month with a balance of $393,825.08. Other accounts, including road, gas tax, sewer and community center funds, also maintained positive balances. During the financial report, officials noted that expenses were higher than usual due to costs associated with the town’s new building.

The council also discussed electrical work for the new building and gutters for the senior center.

Officials provided an update on the guardrail project on County Road 216, which remains incomplete, and reported that a surveyor had been contacted but had not yet responded.

The next Dodge City Town Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, at 6 p.m.
