Register now for the July 30 Boots & BBQ Senior Social

    CULLMAN, Ala. – Seniors across Cullman County are invited to grab their boots, cowboy hats and western attire for the Boots & BBQ Senior Social on Thursday, July 30, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Cotton Creek Warehouse. Space is limited to the first 200 guests. Register by calling the Cullman County Commission on Aging at 256-734-1241. 

    The event, open to those 55 and older, will include a free lunch, music, dancing, door prizes, a photo booth and contests for best boots, best cowboy hat and best western attire. 

    The senior social will be held at Cotton Creek Warehouse, located at 4317 Third Ave. SW in Cullman.  

    The Cullman County Commission on Aging said community partners reached out to help provide the event for seniors in the community. 

    “We had our wonderful community partners Cornerstone Caregiving-Cullman, Woodland Village Rehab & Healthcare Center, The Sanctuary at the Woodlands and Cullman Health and Rehab Center reach out to us to do an event for the seniors in our community,” the agency said. “So bring your dancing shoes and boots along with your cowboy and cowgirl attire for a boot-scootin’ good time on July 30 at Cotton Creek Warehouse.” 

    Those who would like to attend are asked to register by calling the Cullman County Commission on Aging at 256-734-1241. 

    Those who have already signed up at one of the county’s senior centers do not need to call again, as they are already on the list. 

    The event is presented by Cornerstone Caregiving, Venza Care and community partners.
