Robert “Bob” Charles Montgomery, Jr., born on July 9, 1943, lived in Cullman, Alabama, and passed away on May 30, 2026.
He received an engineering degree from Auburn University and also earned an MBA from Samford University.
He is survived by his wife, Bethanna Burson Montgomery; his twin sister, Missy Doles; his children, Monty Ferlisi (Sam) with children Nicholas and Julia; Stephanie Meadows (Bill) with children Mary Ashley, Elizabeth, and Catherine; Matt Rhodes (Beth) with children Samantha and James; and Troy Montgomery (Javonna) with children Abby and Ben. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Charles Montgomery, III.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Robert Charles Montgomery, Sr. and Mary Malcolm McSwean Montgomery.
Affectionately known as “Grumpdaddy” by his grandchildren, Bob will be remembered for his wit and fun[1]loving spirit by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
