CULLMAN, Ala. – Adults 55 and older are invited to spend Tuesday evenings in June dancing, socializing and enjoying live music during the Donald E. Green Active Adult Center’s annual “Jammin’ in the Gym” series.

The free event, held from 6-8 p.m. at the center, has been a summer tradition for several years.

Each Tuesday features live entertainment and gives seniors a chance to stay active while connecting with others in the community.

Active Adult Center Office Assistant Robbie Long said the event encourages socialization and fun among local seniors and that they can expect an evening of dancing and music. This year’s entertainment lineup includes The Overtones on June 2, The Junction Band on June 9, Lee and Em on June 23 and The Cadillacs on June 30.

Long said the program lets older adults stay engaged, meet new people and enjoy a welcoming community atmosphere. The event is free and requires no registration. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and come ready to dance.

Jammin’ in the Gym is open to adults ages 55 and older and takes place at the Active Adult Center each Tuesday evening in June. The center is located at 1625 Cleveland Ave. SW, Cullman.
