CULLMAN, Ala. – A vintage trailer club will roll into Cullman on Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at JG’s Campen Life RV Campground.
JG’s Owners Greg and Jenny Holmes said the Tin Can Tourists (TCT) vintage trailer and camper club has chosen to attend the Rock the Tin Can Vintage Trailer Show.
“This historic club, once the domain of travelers in the early 1920s who drove Model T Fords and tented along the sides of the southeastern two-lane roads, represents the very beginnings of our nation’s $35 billion recreational vehicle industry,” Jenny Holmes said. “Now in its 107th year, the club will feature an open house for the public. Many types and styles of vintage trailers and coaches can be toured during this one-day event. It’s well worth the drive to see these handsome vintage campers and meet the people who have lovingly restored them to their former glory. But be forewarned, visitors may leave this event with a firm urge to start searching for their own piece of vintage camping history.”
JG’s Campen Life RV Campground celebrated its grand opening last October in Cullman.
“Our property offers an inground pool, private bathhouse, virtual golf, kayaking, pickleball and pet-friendly spaces,” Holmes said.
As they continue to grow, they plan to grow with their community by supporting local charities and participating in community events.
