Graveside service for Donald Lee Hunter will be Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Cullman City Cemetery.
Donald Lee Hunter passed away at UAB in Birmingham on May 21, 2026, following a short term of heart problems and T-LGL Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia.
He was born November 14, 1948 to the parents of Claudie MHunter and Carolyn Spradlin Hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Tyree Hunter, daughters Bama H Turner (Bryan) and Carla H Rye. grandsons: Noah Stricklin (Alexandria),Austin Stricklin (Brianna), David G. Turner and Alex L. Turner, sister, Kathy Hunter Byrd (Freddie), nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by: parents, sister, Wanda Hunter Linker (Mike), brother Robert M Hunter.
Don lived a good long life of love for his family, work and retirement. He was an appliance repairman for Luyben and Boike Appliance for 53 years and retired the year the store closed.
He loved to watch the Atlanta Braves, play Angry Birds, fixt hings that are broken or not working and helping others.
