The next phase of a $16.5 million project to resurface the entirety of I-65 in Morgan County will begin the evening of Sunday, May 10, weather permitting.

The contractor, Rogers Group, will resurface from just south of SR-36 (Exit 328) in Hartselle to south of the I-565 interchange (Exit 340) in Limestone County. The contractor will patch the pavement prior to the start of milling and resurfacing.

Nightly lane closures

To reduce traffic impacts, most work requiring lane closures will take place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday nights through Thursday nights. ALDOT advises drivers to expect delays due to single-lane closures.
