Gregory “Greg” Julian Swann, 71, of Vinemont, Alabama, passed away on April 30, 2026.  Born on July 29, 1954, in Cullman, Greg was devoted to his family and always willing to help others. He was a 1972 graduate of Cold Springs High School.

Greg was a welder and a proud, long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 108. Greg never met a stranger and was the life of any party. A lover of pranks and conversation, Greg was a devoted son, a loving husband, father and grandfather as well as an active and generous member of his local community. He loved playing guitar and singing and rocked every open mic. Greg took pride in his work and at the same time was well known for his dog grooming skills. Greg loved to travel with his wife and family, and in later years became an enthusiast of classic westerns and quilting shows. His outgoing and dependable presence will be deeply missed.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Alean Swann, and his son, Duffy Swann.

He is survived by his wife, Debra (Aaron) Swann; his son, Julian Swann (Christine); his grandchildren, Hannah Swann, Clara Swann, Constantin Swann, and Lucas Swann; his brothers, Mark Swann (Donna) and Myles Swann (Elaina); his sister, Rebekah Harding (Rodney); his nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
