Obituary: Robert “Bob” Chaney

Mr. Robert Leon “Bob” Chaney, age 79, of Cullman passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Cullman Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Family would like to welcome all who knew Bob to attend. 
 
Bob was born on February 26, 1947, to Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Chaney. 
 
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Heatherly. 
 
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Leverett Chaney; nephew, Curt Heatherly; nieces, Pam Froshour, Lisa Guerrero, Jami Kuykendall (Todd), Brandi Evans (Brian), Elizabeth Harper; sister-in-law, Sondra Harper (Anthony); his loving fur babies, Nikki, Bailey, and Macy; a host of great nieces and nephews; a host of great great nieces and nephews. 
 
Bob was a well-known businessman in the community, owning Bob Chaney & Associates, Inc. for over forty years. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge as well as serving many years in Lion’s Club. He was a humble and caring man, who loved his family, fur babies, and his hometown, diligently helping others every opportunity he had to do so. 
Family, friends, clients, and colleagues will feel the loss of this wonderful man as the days and years pass by. But, knowing Mr. Bob Chaney’s legacy of servitude, kindness, and love will remain always, giving comfort to those he loved and cherished.
