Funeral service for Janice Eason Tucker, 78, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Good Hope Cemetery, Bro. Tim Box and Bro. Benjamin Smothers officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Tucker passed away Monday, April 13th, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 1, 1947, to James Eddie and Lois Sharlene Sisson Eason. Janice was a dedicated, long time member of Valley Springs Baptist Church where her husband of 46 years, L.D. Tucker served as deacon until his death. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and loved her family. She enjoyed cooking and making sure everyone ate. She had a servant’s heart and was devoted to serving others. She was a talented seamstress. The girls remembered her making their school clothes while they were growing up. She was a lab techician and a homemaker. She leaves behind a legacy of which her family can be proud.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L.D. Tucker; daughter, Shellie Blackwood, and her sister, Jo Armstrong.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jana (Chris) McAfee, Rita (Jason) Rodgers; brother, Ken Eason; sister, Sherry Kilgo; grandchildren, Leslie Simmons, Hannah Beth Smith, Toby Blackwood, Tucker McAfee, Alison McAfee; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
