BETHEL, Ala. — A Cullman EMS ambulance was involved in a motor vehicle accident early Monday morning on U.S. Highway 278 West.
Jones Chapel Fire was paged to assist at approximately 5:13 a.m. following a crash involving the ambulance and a pickup truck hauling a trailer at the Bethel intersection.
Jones Chapel Fire Chief Clint Thrasher said multiple Cullman EMS units were already on scene upon their arrival.
“Upon our arrival, numerous Cullman EMS ambulances were already on scene and had transferred the patient from the wrecked ambulance to another ambulance,” Thrasher said.
“We assisted with the mitigation of the fluids leaking from the vehicle and traffic control.”
According to Thrasher, neither driver was transported. The patient inside the ambulance was transferred to another unit.
Units remained on scene as of press time.
