CULLMAN, Ala. – Sacred Heart School at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church is sponsoring a fundraising walk from the church’s mission church, St. Boniface in Hanceville, to the main church and school in Cullman on Sunday, April 12. The walk will begin at 2 p.m., and shuttles will begin leaving Sacred Heart for Hanceville at 12:45 p.m.
Sacred Heart Pastor Fr. Linus Klucsaritz told The Tribune, “Over 100 walkers have collected sponsors and raised money to support the school endowment, improve school security and purchase some new equipment. In addition to the walkers there is a small army of volunteers from relief drivers, registration and T-shirt organizers, and those staffing relief stations.”
Sacred Heart School Principal Shawna Norman said, “We do not walk alone; we are part of a community. Sacred Heart School is joining together with members of our parish and community in a walk to support the school . This is not only a fundraiser, but an opportunity to engage our families and strengthen community relationships. The funding will be used to enhance safety and add extra resources for our students. We are excited for the support shown for the school!”
