Funeral service for Karen Sue Holt, age 77, of Cullman, will be Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. John Garrison officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be at Flint Creek Cemetery.

Karen was born on July 15, 1948. She passed from this life at Cullman Regional Medical Center on Friday, March 13, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Panell; husband, James Holt; granddaughter, Gracie Nicole Holt; four sisters; one brother; one son-in-law, Justin Philyaw.
She is survived by her three children, James Holt (April), Shannon Taylor (Wade), and Laura Philyaw; grandchildren, Hunter Walker (R.J. Looney), Avory Taylor (Iran Perez), Tori Philyaw, Ryan Holt, Peyton Holt, Ashtin Hipp (Shanon); great-grandchildren, Taylor Walker and Rylan Hipp; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Audy Mitchell, Ryan Holt, Heath Taylor, Iran Perez, R.J. Looney, and Wade Taylor.
