Obituary: Dorotha Dean Randolph

Dorotha Dean Randolph, age 85, of Bremen, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026 surrounded by her family. 
 
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is honored to serve the family. 
 
Dean was born to Edith and Tommy Jackson. She was a graduate of Hatton High School, and later attended Florence State Teacher’s College. She dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a school teacher, touching the lives of many students with her kindness, patience, and dedication. As a dedicated mother and wife, Dean lived throughout Alabama as she followed her husband’s coaching career. 
 
A woman clothed in strength and dignity, Dean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She could often be found at a ballgame, school function, or special event for her family, taking great joy in supporting them and celebrating their accomplishments. 
 
Dean enjoyed traveling with her husband, creating many special memories together over the years. Alongside him, she faithfully served with Phil Waldrep Ministries for many years. She is remembered as a Christian woman whose life reflected love, grace, and faith. Her gentle spirit and caring heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 
 
Dean was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Tommy Jackson; her sister, Sara Lee Hatton; and her beloved husband, Jimmy Randolph. 
 
She is survived by her brother, David Jackson (Vickie); three sons, Yancey Randolph (Julia), Kelly Randolph (Kim), and Britt Randolph (Shannon); her grandchildren, Micah, Jake (Amanda), Luke (Shaynah), Macie (Dakota), Mason (Allyson), and Morgan; and her great-grandchildren, Owen, Rynleigh, Hazel, Atlas, Marlee, Halson, Colin, and Leo. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory. 
 
Dean’s love for others and her strong faith will remain a lasting legacy. The family rests in the promise that she has received her reward and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. 
 
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the celebration of life will be Wednesday, March 18th at 11:00am. Dean will lie in state from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. preceding the funeral. Both visitation and the celebration of life will be held at Bethany Baptist Church in Crane Hill, Alabama. A burial service will be held following the celebration of life at Masterson’s Cemetery in Town Creek, Alabama. Pallbearers are Micah Randolph, Jake Randolph, Dakota Lamon, Luke Randolph, Mason Harris, and Owen Randolph.
